Complete Game Patient of the Month: Mike McGee
Here at Complete Game Physical Therapy we have the pleasure to work with athletes who play sports from across the spectrum. Who remembers playing dodgeball at recess and in PE? Did you know that there is a Team USA Dodgeball Team?
Our patient of the month is Mike McGee, a professional dodgeball player with Team USA. Mike was part of the men’s team that brought home the Silver medal in 2018. He came to the clinic with some issues in his arm. “Over the years of playing, I accumulated several microtears in my bicep from throwing. Complete Game Physical Therapy helped me tremendously after my rest period,” Mike said.
Mike was committed to the program that we created to help him get well. “We did lots of exercises and we even innovated to accommodate my specific injury. No longer am I hurt but I feel stronger than ever; and my throw has improved a lot.” And as we know, throwing is super important in dodgeball!
We weren’t just focused on getting Mike well again for the short-term, though. “I now know lots of exercises to last me a long time with my sports journey and preventing further injuries.”
We wish Mike a long and injury-free dodgeball career!
