This month Complete Game Physical Therapy features this wonderful duo as our Patients of the Month. Introducing Nicole and Jim, a grandfather/granddaughter duo who were treated here at Complete Game with different injuries.

Jim came to us after having some difficulties with balance and falls. “In April I was working on my lawn. My legs were really tired and gave out. I fell, with my head slamming against the pavement. I began to see Andy who provided therapy over the months that corrected my problem and included balance therapy. I now feel more secure in walking and balance.”

Jim is active, so being able to feel safe as he pursued the activities that he loved was important to him. “I was having problems with 10 pin bowling and I fell once. Andy gave me special exercises to do just before bowling which corrected my problems. Also, prior to going on vacation to the Bar Harbor area in Maine, I was doing special exercises to allow me to safely pursue walking on large rocky areas in several places. I’m very pleased with the therapy that I have received so I can continue to enjoy what I like to do.”

Nicole came to us after being injured. “I knew that my recovery from my ACL/Meniscus injury would be a long and difficult journey, but Greg and Andy helped me immensely in taking this recovery one step at a time. They kept me motivated and pushed me to keep going. In the beginning, simple things such as walking and running seemed almost impossible, but under the guidance of Greg and Andy I was able to return to competitive soccer and track with no problems.”

We know how much sports meant to Nicole and we are glad that she was able to get back on the field. “I have been playing soccer this fall and ran track in the spring and I have felt back to my normal, fast self. Greg and Andy gave me exercises and their guidance provided me with a strong base for recovery and that allows me to be confident in my knee and its strength while competing. I enjoyed all of the staff at Complete Game and I look forward to visiting after soccer season is over.”

Jim and Nicole, it was our pleasure to help you, watch you get stronger, and get back to doing the activities that you enjoy!
