Complete Game Patient of the Month: Sophia

This month we are featuring Sophia in as our Patient of the Month. She is a Dance Team member at her university that we have been treating in our clinics for several years. Dance takes its toll on dancers as much if not more than other sports and it is comforting to know Complete Game Physical Therapy has Physical Therapists on staff that are former dancers and specialize in these types of injuries.

“Working with Andrew on various issues from when I was a competition dancer in high school and even still in the college offseason is very helpful,” says Sophia.  “Andrew knows the specific challenges dancers have and is great to work with to alleviate pain, discomfort and provide exercises to minimize future injuries.”

The most recent visit focused on lower back discomfort that had been building up from the end of the college season through the early summer.  Andrew recommended some stretching and exercises to better alleviate the pressure.

“I have gone to other physical therapy companies over my 15 years of dance but hands down having a specialist that knows dance will bring me back to Complete Game if there is a future need for sure.” Sophia said.

Sophia will be attending Syracuse University as a Sophomore this fall and will participate on the Dance Team that recorded its first ever Top 10 result at the NDA National Dance Competition this past spring.  She will be competing with some of the best dance teams across the country and will look to help her team improve on last year’s results.

Thank you for sharing about your experience, Sophia. It has always been our pleasure to work with you and watch you do great things on the dance floor. All the best to you and the Orange Dance Team!
